In this post, we’ve shared a biostatistics lab report.
Objective of Lab Report
The duration of time from first exposure to HIV infection to AIDS diagnosis is called the incubation period. The incubation periods of a random sample of 7 HIV infected individuals is given below (in years):
12.0 10.5. 9.5 6.3 13.5 12.5 7.2
a. Calculate the sample mean.
b. Calculate the sample median.
c. Represent the data in a simple bar graph using statistical tools
Answer of Question
(a) Mean: (Sum of all values / No of Values) = 71.5/7 = 10.2 years
(b) Median= (n+1 / 2) = (7+1)/2 = Value at 4th position = 10.5 years
(c) Excel:
Minitab:
